It Is Possible To Be Chosen And Anointed And Later On Be Rejected By God.
In 1st Samuel Chapter 9 The Bible Described Saul Very Positively And It Was In This Same Chapter Samuel Anointed Saul As King. Seven Chapters Later God Declared That He Had Not Only Rejected Saul But Also Replaced Him Because Saul Disobeyed him ; 1Samuel 16 Vs 1:The Lord said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and be on your way; I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem. I have chosen one of his sons to be king“.
Saul Was Not Only Rejected But Replaced Almost Immediately,Although He Was Still King For Long Time,Spiritually He Had Become Nothing More Than A Figure Head.
The lord Will Never Compromise with Disobedience Or Any Form Of Sin . God’s Way Will Never Change,The Same Way He Felt About Sin In The Past Will Always Be,There Is No Dancing Around It.Alot of People Who Are Anointed/Have Spiritual Gifts or Grace Tend To Get Carried Away And Think They Have Some Sort of Favouritism With God And That The Lord Would Always Pardon Their Wrong Doings Because Of The Oil On Their Head,Or Because Of Their Work In The Lord’s Vineyard.Alot Of Us Have Gotten So Used To Asking God For Forgiveness Everyday.We Are Now So Confident That God Will Always Be Merciful And Forgive Us.Its Very Dangerous To Take God for Granted.
God Commanded Saul To Kill The Amalekites And Spare No Man Or Animal,Saul Spared King Agag And Left The Best Cattle Alive,When Saul Did This He Might Have Thought It Was Not A Big Deal,His Excuse Was That He Wanted To Sacrifice The Animals He Spared To The Lord But Partial Obedience Is Complete Disobedience To God.
So God Is Laying It Upon Your Heart To Do A Couple of Things,leaving Just One Thing Out Is Still Disobedience,Doing It Your Way Is Disobedience,Delaying Is Disobedience.
Has God Be Laying It Upon Your Heart To Evangelise Or Sow Into The Things Of God?,You Keep Running Away And Post-Poning,Do You Know That God Can Raise A Million People To Replace You But That Replacement Can Come With Dangerous Consequences.If Man Rejects You,You Can Run to God For Help.But Who Can You Run To If God Rejects You?.
Saul’s Disobedience Caused Him To Be Replaced,He Lost His Honour,His Sanity And Ultimately His Life.
May We Never Be De-Anointed And Rejected By God In Jesus’ Name.Amen
